There is no better way to celebrate spring than with Holi, or the Festival of Colors. Los Angeles will be saying goodbye to winter with this traditional Indian festival that uses vibrantly pigmented colors to turn the city a spectrum of brilliant hues. Come out to the Whittier Narrows Park for a day of fun, music, vendors, and a rainbow-colored tribute to the arrival of warm weather and brighter, longer days.
Taking place on March 11th, the event involves everything from live music like Kirtan Bands, Mantra DJs, and dance troupes to yoga for attendees who want to relax and find peace together as a community. Additionally, there will be Temple-approved colored powder available for the main event – tossing blooms of bright colors into the air and decorating one another’s skin and hair. You can even buy food, crafts, and clothing as well as other souvenirs at the event!
Join Los Angeles for the annual Festival of Colors, where people of all ethnicities and religions come together to celebrate an ancient Indian tradition in which you greet spring full-blast with a full palette of stunning colors and in an atmosphere of love and togetherness. Make sure you reserve your tickets in advance – it’s only $5!
