We may be a week or so into the New Year, but it’s not too late to come up with some New Year’s resolutions to achieve over the course of 2017. How about making some car-specific resolutions for your vehicle to get away from the stereotypical weight loss goal?
1) Keep to a Service Schedule: While there may be a recommended routine for performing maintenance on your car, you may feel this is unnecessary and costly. However, performing regular service on your vehicle prolongs its life and prevents damage in the long term.
2) Drive with Fewer Distractions: Put down the phone. Stop eating behind the wheel. Learn to be content with the music that’s playing instead of constantly fiddling with the radio station settings. It only takes a few seconds of not paying attention to cause a collision.
3) Learn to Do It Yourself: Want to save money and feel more accomplished? Try learning some DIY skills like changing oil, replacing wiper blades, or swapping out exterior light bulbs.
4) Clean Your Car: Decluttering the mess you’ve accumulated on the go can be a hassle, but you’ll thank yourself in the long run.
Instead of making the same old boring New Year’s resolutions, it can be more fun and more practical to dedicate yourself to taking better care of your car.
