Nissan has been named the Best Environmental Performance Brand by the Automotive Science Group for its “commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental protection,” according to ASG judges. This award is the highest award given by the ASG, and Nissan vehicles also won several awards in their segments in the annual ASG Automotive Performance Index (API).
The Nissan Pathfinder won the award for “Best All-Around Performance,” which is awarded for vehicles that combine top environmental, social, and economic features. The Rogue was named “Best Economic Performance” thanks to its low ownership and operating costs over the first 6.5 years.
The Versa Sedan and LEAF, Nissan’s all-electric car, were on the “Best 5 All-Around Performance List,” winning both their segments. These are all exciting wins for Nissan, whose commitment to both efficiency and economical pricing are a major part of their business philosophy. Dan Mohnke, the vice president of Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & and Marketing Operations, said the company is “honored” to be recognized in this way.
