Things to Do in Santa Clarita in the Fall

Santa Clarita

If you’re a resident of Santa Clarita or even live nearby in the Los Angeles area or Pasadena and you’re looking for some fun things to do in the next couple of months, we have some great events and attractions coming up for you to come check out. These are our favorite things to do in Santa Clarita in fall.

Santa Clarita is home to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor, one of the biggest theme parks in California, and they’re open every weekend through fall, so it’s a great place to spend the day. Parks are a lot more fun when you don’t have to walk around in 90-degree weather. There’s also Mountasia Family Fun Center and Sky City Bounce House—all three are perfect places to take your kids.

Fall is a great season because it’s still warm enough for hiking and outdoor activities as long as you dress right, and it’s more comfortable without the heat. Check out the St. Francis Dam, where you can get a tour of the area and learn its history, or visit the Gentle Barn and get to hang out with farm animals. The Gibbon Conservation Center is a great place to see exotic animals and another fun trip to take with kids.

Santa Clarita is hosting plenty of activities throughout fall as well. From art galleries and exhibits at City Hall and the College of the Canyons to block parties to after school fun for kids, there’s something going on every day! Check out the event calendar for a complete list.

Nissan Lucasfilm Partnership for “Rogue One: a Star Wars Story” Promotional Campaign

Nissan Lucasfilm partnership

Nissan will be one of five international brands that will be part of the global promotional campaign for Lucasfilm’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” due to hit theaters December 16 of this year. Lucasfilm has also joined with Gilette, Verizon, Duracell, and General Mills.

The Nissan Lucasfilm partnership will seek to develop custom campaigns unique to each brand. “Rogue One” is the first ever standalone Star Wars story and the first in a planned series of standalones, and Lucasfilm looked to these five brands to develop campaigns that would “match the tempo and tone of the overall marketing campaign” for the film. There’s no news yet on what Nissan’s campaign will look like, but there are speculations that the company will incorporate its Rogue model.

The film tells the story of a group that comes together to steal plans for the Death Star to stop the Empire from building its ultimate weapon. Stars include such big names as Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen of Hannibal fame, and Alan Tudyk, who is used to spaceships after a season on Joss Whedon’s Firefly.

Being part of a phenomenon like Star Wars is a huge honor, and Nissan is sure to produce a campaign that sticks to the heart of the story, which is all about ordinary people daring to do big things, just like all the companies assembled by Lucasfilm.
