Nissan is always looking to help the community and the world at large. They’re doing both by recently partnering with Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity makes a commitment to communities to provide affordable housing to those in need. Nissan joined them for their nationwide campaign, Home is the Key. This campaign was launched to educate people all over the country about the needs of affordable housing and access to safe living environments.
Throughout April, Nissan joined this effort by donating $1 for every time #HomeIsTheKey was used on social media. Their efforts helped raise money for Habitat for Humanity’s campaign and increased awareness of the need for affordable housing.
Nissan’s partnership in April wasn’t the first time they joined Habitat for Humanity. Nissan has been by their side since 2005 when they donated fifty trucks to people along the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. There was on-the-ground effort, too, with employees volunteering to help wherever they could.
“We are grateful to Nissan for partnering with us in our efforts to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter,” said Colleen Finn Ridenhour, Senior Vice President of Development at Habitat for Humanity International.
It’s not just about building houses, it’s about building communities.
