Summer Maintenance Tips for Your Car

summer maintenance tipsYou might already be seeing ads for back-to-school sales, but that doesn’t mean the summer is over yet. If you still have some fun planned for the rest of the season, here are some summer maintenance tips to make sure your car doesn’t give up before you do.

  • Change your air filter. Your car’s air filter should be replaced every 12,000 miles or so. This can play a key role in maintaining your vehicle’s fuel efficiency.
  • Check your brakes. The most important safety feature in your car is your brakes. Make sure they are in prime condition before heading out on a summer road trip. If you hear any squealing while stopping, have your brakes inspected.
  • Check your tires. As temperatures rise, this can make the air pressure in your tires increase. Check your tire pressure along with the tread depth at least once a month.
  • Check your HVAC. Air conditioning is perhaps one of the greatest modern inventions and having it in your car is a must-have. Make sure your A/C is ready to go before you hit the road.

The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has an all-new design and will make its debut here at Valencia Nissan this fall. In addition to an eye-catching design and a powerful and efficient engine, the Nissan Pathfinder’s technology is built to impress and keep drivers and passengers connected while on the go.

With “family adventure-ready” connectivity, the new Pathfinder is set to become a favorite with families both big and small. Every Pathfinder model will come with a standard 8-inch color touch screen that will function in a similar way to a smartphone. There are also a set of “hard button” controls for drivers who prefer more tactile control.

Additional standard tech features include SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and Bluetooth streaming audio. Drivers will be able to use voice commands to make a call and stream their favorite audio straight from their phone. Voice recognition has been enhanced with a new standard HD microphone.

For drivers who want even more technology, the available NissanConnect Services have been updated to include a wide range of features including an “SOS” emergency call button in the overhead console. Drivers can also take advantage of automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle locator, and emergency calling.
